I currently hold a Wellcome Trust Society and Ethics Fellowship at the Uehiro Centre for Practical Ethics, at the University of Oxford. My fellowship project is entitled “The Ethics of Novel Therapeutic Applications of Deep Brain Stimulation”.
Prior to this, I was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Applied Moral Philosophy at The University of Oxford, on the Wellcome Trust funded project “Neurointerventions in Crime Prevention: An Ethical Analysis”
My research interests lie primarily in issues concerning personal autonomy in practical ethics, particularly topics pertaining to informed consent. I have also written on the ethics of human embryonic stem cell research, gene-editing technologies, and human enhancement.
